The Game of FLL

Would you like to experience an entire FLL season in just 30 minutes in a fun and engaging way?

Take on the role of a specialist on an FLL team. Work together to see if your team can master all the core skills required to overcome unexpected obstacles. Will you take risks along the way or play it safe? At the end of your eight week journey, will you accomplish enough to win the judges approval and win a coveted position in the World Competition?

“The Game of FLL” can be used as: a recruiting tool for new members or JrFLL graduating teams, a training tool for new or young teams, a mentoring tool or ice breaker for more experienced teams, an overview of FLL for team parents or potential team volunteer judges, a training tool for new coaches, and much more!

We currently have a limited number of prototype copies available. Contact us at todd@eharrison.com for more information.

Legonauts 2012 Kickoff

We had our kickoff meeting today. In all, we have 7 team members for FLL and 5 for Jr. FLL. We also have our first sponsor. Thank you Turner Construction for your generous gift!

We discussed the three key categories we will be judged on in our upcoming competition: Research Project, Robot Game, and FLL Core Values. All of the team members seemed really excited to get going and also spent some time playing around with the demonstration robot. We also watched quite a few videos showing other teams competing in FLL, doing interesting things with the LEGO Mindstorms kits, and even some videos from Japan about robotic innovations for seniors!

Looks like we've gotten off to a great start on our first year for FLL!

Curiosity has Landed!

Congratulations to the JPL, Curiosity Team, and NASA for a successful mission! Curiosity is the most ambitious landing to date (in both size and technology) and shows us on FLL just how important it is to continue to explore autonomous robot operation.

Welcome

Welcome to the online home of the Legonauts!

Senior SolutionsWe are a new First Lego League (FLL) team in the city of Littleton, Colorado, just south of Denver. What is FLL? It is an exciting combination of challenges for kids aged 9 to 14! First, we have to complete in a research project and presentation; this year it is Senior Solutions - Independent. Engaged. Connected. Then we have to construct a Lego robot that can autonomously compete for points on a themed course. Through all of these we must exhibit our FLL core values of respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

We look forward to showing you our progress throughout the year and our innovative solution for seniors!
